| Tiivistelmä: | The strategic success of a business strongly depends on the top management team. An analytical framework for assessing and designing top management team is described. The external and internal contextual factors are examined. A summary of the necessary managerial qualities is given. The problems and options in narrowing the gap between the ideal and the existing team profile are discussed. The value of the framework is illustrated in the case of an actual general manager. It is shown that this framework leaves room for tailoring to the general manager's own style and preferences. |
