| Tiivistelmä: | A mildly pessimistic outlook is preferred, with the future being seen as frustrating contemporary aspirations. In order to reconnaissance some futures of world politics, four main, partly interrelated change factors are first considered, on the somewhat rarified aggregate level of the global situation as a whole: rapidly changing technologies, shifts in global economic power and economic crises, growing world populations and ideological shifts. Then some resulting features of differential and jumpy change dynamics are explored leading to a proposed image of international politics towards the 21st century. |
