Tiivistelmä:Expert systems are defined as computer programs exhibiting behavior characteristics of experts. Cognitive skills are distinguished from physical and affective skills. Attention is called to the fact that human resources practitioners use cognitive skills rather than affective skills to make decisions and solve problems. That expert systems are appropriate when cognitive skills are used is underlined. The benefits offered by expert systems for human resource management are listed.
