Tiivistelmä:Private companies go public for a variety of reasons. Whatever the motive, shareholders and directors should have a clear understanding of the implications and responsibilities arising from this change of status. Every aspect of public company status is examined. An analysis of the feasibility of a stock market flotation by this company is provided. The principal differences and requirements for each of the alternative methods of market flotation (offer for sale, selective marketing, introduction, reverse takeover) are identified. The choice and appointment of advisers to a company for the flotation are suggested. A lot of issues regarding tax planning employee motivation, financial costs, pricing, market discount are discussed.
