| Tiivistelmä: | A number of contributions on quality management are discussed in this update. The concept of a 'technology-driven' firm as opposed to a product- or market-driven firm is explained and the need for a balance between all three is argued. The role of product quality in competitive strategy is also outlined and finally four strategies to improve the quality of services are suggested. |
