Tiivistelmä:The French market for toys and games includes dolls and dolls' accessories, puzzles and parlour games, electronic games, video games, building sets, nursery toys for infants, model and miniature vehicles, "character" or "personality" toys, film or cartoon, human or science fiction characters. Total sales excluding video games amounted to FF 18 billion in 1988. The growth of market was 5 percent in 1987 and 3 percent in 1988 in real terms. Games alone account for about one-quarter of all expenditures on toys. Electronic toys and games have been extremely popular, accounting for 10 percent of sales. Educational toys are also a growth area. Hypermarkets and supermarkets dominate the market, steady growth is forecast in the 1990s.
