Tiivistelmä:The question of succession of some well-known British top executives is discussed. They include Lord Hanson, Sir Gordon White, Lord Sainsbury, Lord Wenstock, Robert Maxwell, Tiny Rowland who are more than 65 year old, but at 82, Lord Forte, still chairman of Trusthouse Forte, is the grandee of all. Their curricula are presented briefly. Some other grey-headed British businessmen are considered from the point of view of succession. In most cases, the succession of executives came from the descendants within the family. In private concerns the transfer of power from parent to child may be the most appropriate course, though statistics suggest that it frequently is not.
