| Tiivistelmä: | The current economic and political upheavals in Eastern European countries have major impact on their relations with developing countries in both aid and trade. The developing countries will be competing with the East Bloc for funds in the financial markets of the West at a time when Eastern European countries are scaling down aid programmes. In the medium and long term , the economic changes in the East will create additional markets for the South. |
