| Tiivistelmä: | The methodology and tools of economic forecasting are presented. The process of forecasting consists of 3 phases: preparation (definition of goals, resources, description and analysis of the system), realization (collection and analysis of data, presentation of prognosis), evaluation. The article describes the second phase, outlines the different methods of forecasting and suggests points of view for choosing amongst them. The important software packets for forecasting are listed, and it is suggested, which can be used successfully under certain conditions. The trends in the development of forecasting are described. |
