| Tiivistelmä: | In an era of increasingly global markets and shortened product life cycle, the attention given to the speed of the strategic decision-making process is growing. This study refined and extended some findings of previous research on decision-making speed. It was found that the number of alternatives simultaneously considered is always positively associated with decision speed, regardless of environmental context. In contrast, relationship between board experience and decision speed was context specific. Similarly, decision speed was associated with higher performance only in high-velocity environments. |
