| Tiivistelmä: | The article presents information on the moderating influences on a firm's orientation-performance relationship, focusing on factors controlling the relationship btw. a company's strategic orientation and performance in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). Based on a survey of more than 290 Spanish SMEs in 7 manufacturing sectors, it is shown that the positive influence of the firm's strategic orientation may be moderated by conditions of the environment, previous experience of the top management team, and the firm's strategies. |
