Tiivistelmä: | Yes, "small may be beautiful" when it comes to getting products to market faster or reacting to customer needs. And, yes, large organizations can become slow-moving dinosaurs, hampered by a thick hide of bureaucracy that makes them unsuited for today's hotter business climate. But we should not forget that large size does have its advantages. Size creates economies of scale that facilitate market entry, provide easier access to capital, and justify expanded investments in research and technology. This raises a critical question: How can we build an organization that combines the nimble dexterity of a small firm with the advantages of being big? |
