| Tiivistelmä: | The recent upsurge in regional trading arrangements poses new challenges to countries in transition.In a situation when multilateral trading rules are not functioning well, providing for transparency and open markets, the exports of those countries to developed countries are faced with protective measures threatening the implementation of their transformation process.For countries of the Central and Eastern Europethe establishment of closer institutional links with the European Union appears a viable solution in order not to be marginalized in the world economy.The latestexperiences of these countries in European integration processes, however, lend little support for increased market access of their goods on the European Union markets. |
