| Tiivistelmä: | Modern industrial data acquisition systems pave the way for highly successful rationalization, create transparency and, to a major extent, lead to an improvement in the overall scheduling and capacity planning area. Nevertheless, they have to be planned with extreme care. The characteristics of data acquisition hardware and software are described and analyzed. An inventory of the most important advantages of a well established industrial data acquisition system are outlined. A network configuration of the data acquisition hardware components is sketched. Some of the cost consequences of a data acquisition system development are examined. |
