| Tiivistelmä: | Both domestically (in the U.S.) and internationally, access to higher education has made dramatic increases in the past quarter century. However, access rates remain unequal across various sectors of population, that is, gaps in access and success btw. socio-economic groups remain large. The advent of the virtual university etc. holds promise among some policymakers and educators in terms of reducing these gaps. This article focuses discussion on the nature of the delivery systems and their impact on access and success in post-secondary education. |
