| Tiivistelmä: | This article gives a digest of the two-part study L'Avenir des universites europeennes undertaken for the Planning Unit of the former Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Based on extended on-site observations of the German, UK, French and US university systems, the first part analyses how these systems structure studies and certification. Three models are proposed. The analysis was submitted to thirty university leaders in eight European countries. |
