| Tiivistelmä: | this paper describes the motivation and requirements as well as the experience gained when introducing an adaptable Shop Floor Control system (SFC) in a Polish manufacturing company of the mechanics industry. The system was developed within the COPERNICUS project No. CP-94-337 -- "Adaptable Low Cost Shop-Floor Control System". In the first part of the paper, the situation of a company from central and eastern Europe, which is subject to technical and organisational restructuring process, is shown on the example of the PZL HYDRAL S.A. company located in Wroclaw, Poland. |
