Tiivistelmä:EDI Electronic Data Interchange is a new information technoloy.Use of EDI offers many advantages to organizations.Education on EDI is necessary if organizations want to exploit it. Implementation of EDI means a big change in the way how business is done and usually requires a change of the way of thinking for many employs. It is necessary to include managers, IS people and users of EDI system in educational process. Education of students in EDI is imortant in order to accelerate the implementation of EDI in organizations.Faculty of organizational sciences, University of Maribor pays a lot of attention to EDI education for technologists who are already working in organizations and full time students.For technologists two days EDI workshops were organized.Full time students were exposed to theory and practial aspects of EDI through lectures and laboratory exercises.
