Tiivistelmä:Internationalization and deregulation of markets have caused extra pressure on interlocking directorate networks among business enterprises. This article investigates these changes within the context of the Swiss and Dutch economies, which are both small and internationalized and yet differ from one another. A review of the Dutch and Swiss corporate governance landscape is introduced and combined with a network analysis of board interlocks. The findings of the study reveal that individual corporate strategies have a significant effect on corporate network changes.
