| Tiivistelmä: | In this article, an in-depth analysis of Russia's post-crisis growth is presented. The main growth drivers, developments and policies are examined in detail. The oil sector's role, especially the role of privately owned oil companies, is found to have been more important in driving economic growth btw. 2001 and 2004 than thus far recognized. In addition, the economic impact of the 'Yukos affair' is also assessed. Looking forward, Russia is going to remain a heavily resource-dependent economy for some time to come. |
