Tiivistelmä:At the beginning of the 1980s, such representative companies in the US as GE , IBM and Sears Roebuck enjoyed rampant growth. Among these companies, GE was the only one that set out for bold restructuring after Jack Welch assumed the position of CEO in 1981. With a strong sense of crisis and the belief that the company should not remain the same in order to continue to be an excellent company in the 21st century, Jack Welch began to organize the GE revolution. Around ten years later, in 1992, three wriggling dinosaurs were illustrated on the front cover of Fortune magazine. They symbolized IBM, GM and Sears Roebuck.
