| Tiivistelmä: | This report examines the market for books in Spain. Reference is given primarily to retail sales of books although institutional sales of books are also discussed. The total market size covers both hardback and paperback books and includes the following sectors: dictionaries and encyclopedias, literature, science and technical books, children's literature, educational books and comics. Newspapers, magazines and pamphlets are not incorporated into the study. The Spanish book market has grown in recent years in terms of value through high retail prices and the addition of VAT to the majority of titles. |
