| Tiivistelmä: | Using data collected from female information and communication technology (ICT) professionals in the UK, this paper examines stories of future regarding women in the ICT sector. The article starts by identifying the reasons why it is important to consider the future if one hopes to gain a better understanding of the co-construction of gender, time, work and technology. Gendered stories about the future in relation to utopian and dystopian visions are found in the study, which focuses on the discourse of the hybrid or bridger worker. |
