| Tiivistelmä: | This paper aims at using bibliometric techniques to examine the R&D Management journal (hereafter as: RDM) in four time periods: 1986-1990, 1991-1995, 1996-2000, and 2001-2005 to reveal changes in its intellectual base. Using co-citation analysis, this paper identifies the invisible colleges (or research networks) associated with publications in RDM. The results indicate the Cohen and Levinthal's absorptive capacity (here as: AC.) model to dominate the final two periods. The conclusions suggest how the AC. model might be more effectively utilized in future RDM research. |
