Tiivistelmä:This article reviews comprehensively the whole question of how banks are able to create value from cross-border activities. Ghemawat's Triple-A framework is followed to position bank's adaptation, aggregation and arbitrage opportunities when trying to find the potential for value creation. Little coherence and much complexity is found. The content of this special issue of internationalisation in financial services by guest editors Robert M. Grant and Markus Venzin (Long Range Planning, 42:5-6) is following: Editorial, 555 Executive summaries, 557 Grant, R.M. & Venzin, M.
