Tiivistelmä:This paper explores the concept of luxury shopping (henceforth as: l-s.) behaviour in tourism, identifying the perceived importance of different types and characteristics of the luxury products and services bought by tourists on vacation, and the importance of various shopping (herein as: shpg.) venues and destinations for l-s. Examined are the significant differences in l-s. patterns among various types of tourists identified on the basis of the frequency of shpg. and the degree of importance attached to shpg. There are shown three groups, infrequent shoppers (as: shps.), sometimes shps. and frequent shps., as well as non-shps., neutral shps. and great shps., significantly differing in their l-s. behaviour.
