| Tiivistelmä: | This article explores partner effects on promotions to top positions. The article focuses on the effects of having partner and the effects of certain characteristics of the partner. The study relies on data from the longitudinal panel study of Belgian households and the data is analyzed using event history analysis. The results do not provide evidence for effects of merely having a partner. However, the partner characteristics have impact on promotions: both labour market and financial resources of the partner have positive influence on promotions. |
