Tiivistelmä: | This article explores the dynamics of a creative problem solving meeting, which, despite good intentions, frequently reaches impasse. A group is followed step by step through its meeting to determine where and why it gets off track. The group of seven senior HRD managers and a facilitator (an in-house trainer) is trying to invent a new way to measure return on investment for sales training. As the meeting unfolds the conflict will be noticed between searching for new meaning and holding onto the old. Each person struggles to hold onto an identity that is grounded in expressions of self, voiced perceptions, offered thoughts. Listening and awarding value to radically different ideas means rearranging ones long hold views, and the defenses take over. |
