| Tiivistelmä: | Services companies are in direct contact with their clients. Production and distribution remain unified acts, opposite to manufacturing industry where production and distribution of products are carried out in different firms. In order to overcome this constraint, the company has to be able to move its personnel each time the service is provided or else build up a distribution network. The development of a multilocal organization requires financial resources and a clear concept of the services to be offered. The problem of an appropriate organizational size is examined. The heterogeneous nature of the service business is considered. The features of spatial management are investigated. |
