| Tiivistelmä: | The rapidly changing environment of the financial institutions forces the banks to adapt themselves to these changes. The new requirements make necessary the planning of chances, risks, resources, and organizations. The reasons for the urgency of planning for banks are described, the problems which make planning difficult for banks are analyzed. The main problems are the lack of experience of banks in planning, the dynamics of the environment, the financing of investments, the complexity of management, the communicability of planning. The problems and advantages of planning in banks are illustrated by the example of the Schweizerische Volksbank. |
