| Tiivistelmä: | In spite of the widespread interest in corporate culture, the desire to manage it seems to be absurd because something that is so deep rooted and historic as culture cannot be controled. Managing culture means trying to manage change. Most managers still want to control their organizations; however, direct control is increasingly difficult because the hierarchical infrastructure of most organizations has been drastically reduced. A case of a large service business is investigated as an example, in whcich managers undertake to work with the dynamics of their culture. |
