| Tiivistelmä: | In order to explore the process of measuring supplier performance, traditional quantitative methods for comparing the performance of vendors are reviewed and illustrated: categorical, weighted point, and cost ratio techniques. As an alternative, a versatile mathematical model called dimensional analysis is presented. Since the dimensional analysis model provides a means of combining the multiple criteria into a single dimensionless entity, it is particularly well suited for assessing potential JIT suppliers. |
