| Tiivistelmä: | The market for mental health services, like that of other medical services, faces a crisis. Costs are escalating, but measures to control them threaten the quality of care. Managed care is one attempt to remedy the situation. To be effective, however, managed care organizations must balance the needs both of the company (which needs to manage costs) and of the patients (who have the right to quality treatment). |
