Tiivistelmä:In the workplace, the supervisor provides subordinates with support and monetary rewards while in exchange, they contribute devotion and expertise. Three organizational processes can be understood in the social exchange approach to interpersonal relationships: equity theory, leader/member exchanges, and organizational citizenship behaviour. Data were collected from 86 subordinate/supervisor dyads from several organizations. Social exchange and equity theory were used to interpret the findings.
