| Tiivistelmä: | The attributes for the selection of a facility site can be classified into objective and subjective attributes. To evaluate facility site suitability, measures for the subjective criteria may not be precisely defined. Hence, the precision-based evaluation is not very practical. A fuzzy multi-criteria decision method is needed to evaluate facility site suitability and determine the best selection. This article proposes a 'fuzzy suitability index' to account for the ambiguities involved in the evaluation of alternatives, and the importance of criteria. |
