| Tiivistelmä: | Factory modeling, which includes capacity planning, queuing models and computer simulation, has provided decision support to a variety of factory design and operation questions. Cost modeling is the extension of factory modeling, which provides a basis for optimizing a set of variables as well as for comparing strategic alternatives. It does this by applying cost equations to the results of the factory model. |
