| Tiivistelmä: | This paper describes how the traditional systems approach to both operations and project management leads to a lack of customer focus. The authors propose appropriate organization structures for traditional project management, management by project, and process management. They then propose a structure for the versatile organization , which mixes these different management approaches. They close by illustrating the concepts through British Telecom, a company which has now gone some way towards the implementation of a versatile organization structure. |
