| Tiivistelmä: | In 1992, Harris Semiconductor began an ambitions project to implement activity-based costing (ABC). At that time, most companies began ABC projects by conducting pilot studies and using standalone systems. Going against conventional wisdom, Harris chose to implement ABC worldwide within nine months and to integrate ABC into its standard cost system. The timing and scope of the project went against all of the experts' advice and yet succeeded. Two key factors were credited with the success: people and communication. |
