| Tiivistelmä: | The Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted, in November of 1995, the program for the accession of the Republic of Slovenia to the European Union.This article offers the overview of the program of activities of the preaccession strategy, schematic overview of the organizational structure of the Slovenian public service in the accession process, and explains the role and mission of the Oftice of Europe and Affairs, the main coordinating institution in this process. While special emphasis is given to the activities which this Off ce is coordinating at this moment, authors also look ahead for possible opportunities and challenges that Slovenia face on its way to the full membership in the European Union.(p. 58) |
