| Tiivistelmä: | Tianjing economic and technological development zone's success in absorbing and utilizing foreign investment has contributed to their fast construction and development and quick returns. From the end of 1984 when the development zone was established to the end of 1994, there were 2185 approved foreign-funded projects involving 51 countries and regions all over the world, with the contracted investment reaching USD 4 billion and the rate of actually used funds 60%. There were 1014 foreign-funded enterprises which had gone into operation. 80% of the projects were industrial ones. In 1994, the industrial output value of the foreign-funded enterprises reached 14.6846 billion yuan, accounting for 98.5% of the total in the zones. |
