| Tiivistelmä: | This paper is designed to identify the main aspects of the private sector and privatization in the Visegrad countries (V4 - the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) rather than to elaborate on these far-reaching and complex subjects, on which there is already a substantial literature in Eastern Europe and in the West. In the V4, as in all the former socialist countries, one of the main concerns of the social and economic transformation is to dispose of state assets so as gradually to establish the predominance of private ownership. |
