| Tiivistelmä: | This paper describes recent developments in computer-based project scheduling. The focus is on the resource-constrained project scheduling problem, a backbone-model of software packages for project management. Based on a parametric characterization of instances we provide new methods which outperform all known other procedures. Key components are new priority rules, the computation of regrets, and randomization. |
