This article contends that most boards of non-profit organizations fail to make the strategic contribution that the institutions they serve really need. But boards can do better if they are willing to take on the new work. The authors explain how a board can harness the collective efforts of its high powered members so that it does not have a subsist on its all too common diet of trivia. |
