| Tiivistelmä: | The development of international business in China is the demand of integration of China's economy and the world economy and the objective demand of China's financial market opening further to the outside world as well, The Bank of China is "the soldier at the head of a formation" in Chinese banks going international. The proportion of its overseas assets to the total assets jumped to 55% at the end of 1993 from 46.3% in 1992. By the end of 1994, it set up 512 branches in 18 countries and regions. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, first, issued bonds of 15 billion Japanese yen in 1993 and the raised funds were used in the country's key projects. Communications Bank and Agricultural Bank all set up many representative offices abroad to conduct international business. |
