| Tiivistelmä: | The author's task for this symposium is to describe the effects of labour relations innovations in the US on jobs and on justice. The author starts by describing the most common innovation -- labour-management sponsored worker participation programmes -- followed by an assessement of its diffusion and impact. The conclusion is that, despite notable and consistent positive contributions to both employee and employer goals, these programmes remain primarily "local successes" with limited potential for either transferability or sustainability. |
