Tiivistelmä:Viewed from the development strategy of "large city and small country", established by Shanghai, the traditional service field and object of supply and marketing cooperatives would shrink to some extent. But it doesn't mean that their function of serving agriculture would weaken and on the contrary, it should be strengthened and the scope of service extended. The supply and marketing cooperatives of Shanghai have made clear the direction of developing urban supply and marketing cooperatives. The concrete steps include perfecting 5 major service systems in rural area, deepening the dual-tier reform of cooperatives, forming consumption cooperatives and taking out some funds for contracting loss-making shops.
