Tiivistelmä: | Extraordinary changes in the political or market environment require similar changes within companies. An adaptation of organization or strategy alone is generally insufficient. Change programs must be company specific. Subsidiaries of multinational companies must be accorded sufficient flexibility to adapt to the new demands of the local environment. Any change program is a complex management task. It is best designed and carried out in modules. Strategies that are not integrated into a complex overall change program carry a high risk of failure. Long- term transformation will only succeed if linked with cultural change. The key role in such processes is played by the managers. They must personify the culture aspired to by the organization. |
