| Tiivistelmä: | The reform of textile industry in Shanghai has won initial success. Its total out put value in 1997 was leveled to that of last year. The total profit volume reached the target of 0.5 billion yuan. The value of state-owned assets rose by 4.8% and actually by 1.72% if the objective factors were excluded. It is attributed to the following reform measures: 1. reducing spindles, down sizing workers and cutting the total volume for optimizing resource allocation and improving the quality of subject; 2. re-establishing three major pillar products, i.e. garment, decorations and textile products for industrial purpose; 3. reforming management mechanism and establishing a new mechanism thus strengthening the vitality of enterprises. |
