| Tiivistelmä: | As the place of origin and severely afflicted area of the financial crisis, Southeast Asian countries arouse global attention for its economic development. Affected by the crisis, economy in Southeast Asia in '98 slowed down, and some countries even experienced a big recession. With a gradual transition from chaos to stability and order and additional economic stimulating measures adopted by relevant governments, the economic development in this area has a turn for better. However, owing to the lack of capital, shrink of predominating industries, and inefficiency of traditional experience, the economic development of Southeast Asia is not optimistic in the near future. |
