| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between flight schedule and aircraft turnaround efficiency at airports, in order to minimise system operational costs and meanwhile to maintain a required level of schedule punctuality. A mathematical model is applied to simulate aircraft turnaround operations by considering the stochastic effects of schedule punctuality as well as aircraft turnaround performance. |
